You don’t get that the Ukrainians don’t despair?
Sounds like you may not quite understand human nature.
Or, the crucial heartbeat of liberty and self determinism.
You think that the more horrific the atrocities are, the more likely capitulation becomes?
Think again.
It’s exactly the opposite.
Furthermore, the people being massacred are civilians. The people doing the fighting are soldiers.
Yes, there is solidarity across the board. And, universal pride in the bravery and resolve needed to continue to persevere.
The horrendous perpetrated atrocities serve to strengthen Ukrainian hearts; serve to nourish Ukrainian people with the will and spirit to fight more fiercely
Ukrainians are modern day colonial Americans.

Would you say that because the British won some of the brutal battles of the Revolutionary War, the American resolve should have been dampened?
It’s the opposite, my friend.
Perhaps, you might learn a little bit from your dog, and a vast amount from the Ukrainians.
Once you threaten the freedom, peace, and wellbeing of a people, you mess with wills and hearts and souls.
While an individual may be indoctrinated into expecting abuse, groups of human beings will never put up with being persecuted or massacred.
Especially when that group of people has the blessing of moral support throughout the world. And, the manpower and weapons to fight for freedom.

PS = Ever heard of editing your writing? I understand this was a “rant”. And, I’m sure quite a satisfying one, at that. You demonstrate impressive imagination and creativity. Still, you repeat yourself ad nauseam. And some of your points are not all that well-discerned. For example, it’s not so much that “poor Jeff” may be offended. One of the reasons people don’t tell "Jeff" off directly is because "Jeff" may be carrying a sawed-off shotgun (you neglected to include gun violence in your list of modern day mayhem), may react with violence, and some around may actually believe as he does, and so, side with him.
